Do colleges and universities require accreditation? No, colleges do not require applicants to graduate from an accredited high school.
Admissions offices across the country, including highly selective universities, regularly admit and enroll students from unaccredited private schools, microschools, and homeschool programs. What they evaluate is the strength of the student: coursework, grades, test scores, writing, character, and preparation.
Rahmah House is being built to produce exactly that kind of student. Our curriculum is academically rigorous. Our college counseling support begins in 9th grade. And our students will graduate with transcripts, portfolios, and the preparation to compete for admission anywhere they choose to apply.

Cognia-accredited schools are recognized by colleges, universities, and educational institutions internationally — not just in the United States.
That process typically takes two to three years from the time a school opens. Accreditation is not something a school can fast-track. The process is rigorous by design.
Virginia registration comes first.
Virginia law requires any private school enrolling 10 or more students to register with the Virginia Department of Education. Rahmah House will meet this requirement fully before opening our doors, insha'Allah. Registration is not accreditation, but it is the foundation of operating as a legitimate, compliant private school in the Commonwealth, and we take that seriously.
