Please reach us at info@rahmahschool.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Rahmah House is currently a learning community, not a school. This means your student can be enrolled in any online or homeschool of their choice while completing their work in-person with other students. In addition to social interaction, Rahmah House provides opportunities for kids to participate in group discussions, service projects, and other activities that inspire a love of Islam.
The choice is yours. Rahmah House welcomes students enrolled in accredited online schools as well as families using their own homeschool curriculum.
Rather than serving as the school of record, Rahmah House provides the learning environment where students complete their coursework, receive support from a learning coach, collaborate with peers, and participate in Islamic enrichment, life skills, service projects, and community-based learning.
Virginia's public online schools, like Virginia Connections Academy, is completely free. The cost to join Rahmah House, will be finalized once we know the size of our founding community. We expect fees to fall somewhere between $200 and $400 per student per month. Financial assistance may be available for families who need it. Reach out to us privately to discuss further.
We are targeting Henrico County, ideally in the West End or Glen Allen area. We will announce our confirmed location as soon as it is secured.
Rahmah House is currently intended to serve only grades 8 through 12, insha'Allah. This may change depending on interest and resources.
Students are expected to dress modestly and respectfully. While we do not enforce a uniform, we do have clear expectations. Clothing should be neat, clean, and appropriate for a learning environment.
Specifically, we ask that students avoid anything low cut, anything above the knee, or anything form fitting or revealing. We ask that what students wear reflects the dignity and character we are building together.
Hijab is a personal act of worship between a young woman and her Lord, and we leave that decision entirely to her and her family.
No. While we recommend Virginia’s Connections Academy, you’re welcome to enroll in any online school or homeschool curriculum of your choice.
We are currently exploring possible locations in the West End/Glen Allen.
